Fu is a Chinese traditional cultural figure drawn by Taoist priests on paper or cloth with vermilion or ink pens, which resembles characters but is not. It is said to have the function of driving ghosts and gods, bringing happiness to people, or warding off illness and prolonging life.Different symbols have different functions. And the size of the position received by Taoist priests is represented by the corresponding chopsticks, which have corresponding divine generals to help and bless them, and can also draw corresponding symbols to enable them to play related roles.
In traditional Chinese culture,The production of talismans is not simply about writing Taoist characters on them, as it has no effect. The process of making talismans first involves preparing materials such as cinnabar and yellow talisman paper. Cinnabar is the ultimate yang substance that can ward off evil spirits. Secondly, the production site needs to be cleaned, which includes two parts: one is to take a shower, wash the body, and then recite mantras, such as the Pure Altar Mantra, etc. Then sprinkle magical water to clean the place where it was made. Only in this way can we officially enter the manufacturing process. The Taoist needs to recite the corresponding incantation, draw the talisman, and cooperate with the manual at the same time. It needs to be done in one go without pause. The last step is for the Taoist to inject his energy into the talisman and then stamp it with the seal of the ancestor. Only then can the talisman be considered completed and covered with a red cloth until it reaches the user’s hands for use. Only then can the red cloth be removed to avoid contamination by dirty things. The process of making talismans requires a lot of time and energy. Generally, a Taoist can make more than ten talismans in a month, so it is very scarce. Moreover, it is necessary to find a real Taoist with magical power, rather than a fake one.
